How to install S4G

Six short steps in Claude. The first one is usually all you need.

  1. One-click install

Click here to go straight to Claude and add S4G as a custom connector. This is the easiest path.

  2. Or add it by hand

If that didn't work, add it by hand. In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, hit the + button at the top and select Add custom connector. Name: S4G.

    Server URL
    https://mcp.s4gconsultancy.com/mcp

Note: this address goes nowhere in a browser. Paste it into the field in Claude Customize.

  3. Connect

S4G now shows up in your connectors list under "Not connected." Click on it, then click Connect. This opens a new window.

  4. Enter your email

In the new window, enter your S4G subscription email (the email you subscribe with). We email you a code to confirm it. If it stalls, just try again.

  5. Free or paid

    Every live skill is free.

  6. Always allowOptional

Once connected, click on S4G in your connectors list and find the Tool permissions dropdown that says "Custom." Switch it to Always allow. That way Claude can use S4G skills without asking your permission every time, which gets old fast.

Questions

About installing and using S4G.

What is S4G?

S4G brings our frameworks, mental models and tool recipes into Claude. Add it once, then ask for a skill by name in any chat.

How do I install it?

Use Install in Claude on this page. To add it by hand, in Claude go to Customize, Connectors, +, Add custom connector, name it S4G and paste https://mcp.s4gconsultancy.com/mcp

Once added in Claude, S4G also shows up in the Claude desktop app and Claude Code. To add it to Claude Code alone, run:

claude mcp add S4G --transport http https://mcp.s4gconsultancy.com/mcp
What does it work with?

Claude chat and Claude Code, both tested. The Claude desktop app uses the same connectors as Claude chat. ChatGPT is coming soon. Other AI apps that support remote MCP may work, but we have not tested them yet.

Do I have to pay?

No. Every live skill is free.

How do I use a skill?

Ask for a skill by name, for example "Use Blink decision making from S4G on this decision" or "Use the S4G Playbook to research my market." Claude does not always pick a skill on its own, so naming it is the sure way. To see every skill, ask Claude "What can S4G do?"

Why does it show me as free when I'm paid?

The email you sign in with must match your subscription email exactly. If you just upgraded, wait 2 to 3 minutes. Then disconnect S4G in Claude (Customize, Connectors) and connect again.

Why don't I see the tools?

In Claude, go to Customize, Connectors, S4G and set Tool permissions to Always allow. If they still do not show, disconnect and connect again.

How do I get help?

Ask Claude "S4G help:" followed by your problem. For anything that needs a person, email connect@s4gconsultancy.com.

What is an MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for an AI app to connect to outside tools and knowledge, so it can use them instead of guessing.
